Garden Show Tickets Here for Holiday Shopping!
Today the dedicated team that brings you the Northwest Flower & Garden Show – now recovered from our Thanksgiving food comas - is hitting the road – literally. We’re off to deliver the NWFGS tickets to all our ticket outlets. It’s a tough job but somebody’s got to stop by all the coolest garden centers King, Pierce, Kitsdap and Snohomish Counties! We’ve got about 80 boxes stuffed with the tickets, brochures and posters, just in time for your holiday gift giving.
Everyone on the garden show team really loves this tradition. What a great excuse to get away from our computers! We fill up the gas tank, map out our routes, and journey to the region’s top nurseries, brimming with cool winter blooming plants and sparkly holiday décor, to deliver our precious cargo. It really puts us in the holiday – and garden show – spirit.
There are some good reasons to buy your garden show tickets from your local retailer. First off, you save
$1 on each ticket over the online tickets. Also, the tickets themselves are very pretty, especially when you attach them to a plant or garden tool. They make the perfect gift for all your garden loving friends. (Even better, give the gift of a night in a downtown Seattle hotel so you can go to two days at the show. We have the guaranteed best hotel rates on our website.) Buy local and support your local garden center!

The garden show is a wonderful family outing. Kids of all ages loved our PlayGarden - and children under 12 are FREE!
If you decide you’re rather print your ticket at home, you have the option to donate $1 to the Seattle Children’s PlayGarden – just check the ‘donate’ box when you make your ticket purchase. This is a great way to support this new regional treasure. The team at the PlayGarden (and the creative genious of designer Wendy Welch) is putting together a gret new exhibit for the 2012 show, based on the classic song “Rockin’ Robin.”
BUY NOW AND SAVE!
The retail outlets have three kinds of tickets for sale – The Early Bird Tickets are only $16, and are on sale until midnight on February 7. The Youth Ticket is only $5 for budding gardeners 13 – 17 years old. And children 12 don’t need a ticket! They’re FREE! After February 8 the retail outlets have the regular priced ticket for $20 and they are also for sale at the Washington State Convention Center during show hours. (Two-day and Five-day Passes are available online.)
Now where are the tickets? The easiest way to find the nearest retailer is to go to our website for the complete list, and use our search function to find the ticket outlets closest to your zip code.
So many thanks to all the team who trekked over hill and dale to deliver tickets to our nursery outlets: Jeff Swenson (Show Manager), Cyle Eldred (Show Designer), Kyle Aronson (Webmaster), Linda Knudsen (Exhibits Manager), Michelle Derbes (Show Coordinator), Nick Carroll and Eric McMurry (Sales Associates), and yours truly. (I started this morning with a car crammed with boxes of tickets and brochures, and ended with a car filled with plants, a new rake and some gifts. Ummm… don’t tell my hubby.) ~ Janet
