Gardener’s Delight
I love all things garden. Of the garden, for the garden, in the garden. There, I said it.
Maybe you’re more composed than I am when it comes to such things and you’re just trying to figure out what all this garden-fuss is about. But I think it’s a fair bet you’re as garden-crazy as I am, or will be soon. Come on, admit it.
OK, now we’ve got that settled. Relax. You’re among friends: fellow gardeners.
We understand. As a species, we’re curious, life-long learners. Even though I have been gardening ferociously for almost 10 years, I am continually learning, growing and developing as a gardener. I have been on a delightful, delirious journey from the moment I first put a shovel in the dirt soon after my husband and I first moved into our home.
I look forward to celebrating gardens and gardening with you. I hope that gardeners of all stripes, from the fledgling novice to the more seasoned devotee, will find this site inspirational, informative, and fun!
We’ll explore plants, share gardening techniques & tips, and as the Northwest Flower & Garden Show approaches, I’ll keep you in the loop with behind-the-scenes peeks and insider tips to make your show visit the best ever.
So until next time, I’ll leave you with this image of the rain-speckled foliage of Phormium ‘Evening Glow,’ which illustrates how beautiful and satisfying Northwest gardens can be: any season, any time, any weather. Bring it on!
